  Very cool. For certain use casesor quick darft demo no extra template necessary. Thx for the code and the explanation.
  I just two days ago though to create a layout_view.tpl to tackle a similar problem and probably will stil do so, but this code is surely very helpful

    The next step is to add an image for each layout to clarify what kind of page the layout produces.
